We finished up Michael and Iris' guest bath this weekend. Here are some before and after shots...
We used Grohe's Essence line for the faucets and Kohler's Radiant sink which dropped into the original location. 3X6in white subway tile finish off the walls.
More importantly, we installed actual tile backer board for years of mold-free showers... the previous tile only went up to shoulder level and was adhered directly to the luan paneling.
Typically, I'd have gutted the entire room and started over, but their house is very original and they wanted to keep it as original as possible (vanity, paneling, etc.). The Kohler sinks were some of the few that would drop into the original location (and there was no reviving the old sinks). The Grohe Essence line was a nice alternative to the Marc Newson-designer Porcher faucets we used in our place (and are actually a bit easier to install and operate).
